Hello! My name is Drialys, welcome to The Messy Hair Gal. After graduating from college in 2011, I debated whether or not to start a blog in order to share my rambling thoughts and ideas. It took a bit of encouragement from my family and friends, but after many years of wondering what if, I decided to take the leap. And here we are! I live in sunny, but almost always humid Miami, Florida. I love the beach, palm trees, a cold craft beer, and all things “tropical”, including flamingos. They are my FAVORITE!
I am an Athletic Trainer and have been working in the sports medicine field for the past 6 years. Most recently, I decided to change jobs in order to pursue a carefree, creative, and intentional life.
Over the years, I have developed a love for crafts, exploring new cities, and learning about other cultures. I’m a true believer that everyone’s life story is worth telling and it is my goal to share some amazing people making a difference on a local, national and global level.
“Let your passion be your compass!” This has been my mantra for the past couple of months. I heard it a while back while listening to a podcast, but can’t remember who said it. If it was you, please let me know! I would love to chat! This phrase inspired me to make a change, take a chance and follow my own dreams. It is my intention to embody that phrase through this creative space.
